You can trace almost all of our ingredients from field to fork…

Our gardener plucks fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs from our productive gardens each day. Fruit and vegetables that aren’t picked straight from our plot are sourced from local fields and organic suppliers.

Milk, clotted cream and fresh yogurt comes from a local dairy, and our fabulous ice cream is made on The Lizard by Roskilly’s farm.

Free range eggs are laid just across the lane.

Fresh local fish is delivered daily from local boats. Fishermen call us on their way back into harbour to advise us of the day’s catch so that we can plan our menus accordingly. It could be lobster, crab, prawns, turbot, sole, plaice, cod, haddock or monkfish. If the local fishermen have a bad day then we source our fish from Newlyn fish market near Penzance.

Our smoked salmon is smoked in London – it is the best we have found in the world.

Our fresh cuts of meat come from the village butcher, who sources his entire stock from local farmers.

Our special black-legged chickens, guinea foul, duck, foie gras and lamb are from The Pyrenees and first-class French suppliers.

We have weekly delivery of Polaine bread direct from Paris.
